Gethsemane
Maybe I'm right,
Maybe I'm wrong,
Maybe I've lost my mind.
I don't think I've ever felt this way.
Looking inside all I can find is just a mystery.
And I just really need you by my side.
But I know it's true that you need me too,
I know that salvation's in our hands.
And I will stand strong,
And face the pain to come.
I will lay down my life to bring you home.
If I could say,
If I could tell,
Everything in my heart;
There would never be the perfect words.
Bearing this weight,
Holding the world,
Balancing time and fate;
Promise me you'll try to understand.
But I know it's true that you need me too,
I know that salvation's in our hands.
And I will stand strong,
And face the pain to come.
I will lay down my life to bring you home.
Now is the time,
I see him come
He was a friend of mine;
Now he will betray me with a kiss.
Lay down your sword!
Don't be afraid
This always was meant to be:
Tomorrow, your troubles will be mine.
